These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern all transportation services arranged, reserved, or provided by Summit Transportation & Protection LLC (“Summit,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). They apply to every client, passenger, guest, assistant, travel planner, concierge partner, and other person who books or uses our services.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By booking, paying for, confirming, or using any Summit service, you agree to these Terms. When you reserve online, you accept these Terms at checkout. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these Terms.
2. Prearranged Transportation Only
All transportation is provided by advance reservation only. Summit is not a taxi service, does not accept street hails, and does not provide metered transportation. Reservations may be made through our online booking system, by phone, by email, or through an authorized concierge or partner.
3. Reservations and Confirmation
A reservation is confirmed only when Summit accepts it and sends a confirmation by email, text message, or through our booking system.
- You must provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations, date, time, passenger count, luggage details, contact information, and flight details where applicable. Charges caused by inaccurate information are your responsibility.
- Changes to a confirmed reservation are subject to availability and may change the price.
- Summit may decline or cancel any reservation that cannot be fulfilled safely, lawfully, or professionally. If we cancel, you receive a full refund.
4. Rates, Minimums, and Service Fee
Your rate is shown before you confirm your reservation.
- Hourly minimums. Hourly reservations are subject to the minimums shown at booking, currently two hours for SUVs and three hours for Sprinter vans.
- Overtime. Service that extends past the reserved time is billed in 15-minute increments at the vehicle’s hourly rate.
- Service fee. A 20% service fee is added to transportation charges and appears as its own line on your quote and receipt. The service fee is retained by Summit to cover operating costs. It is not a gratuity and is not paid to your chauffeur.
- Gratuity. Gratuity for your chauffeur is optional and at your discretion.
- Additional charges. Tolls, parking, airport and venue access fees, additional stops, route changes you request, and extra wait time (Section 7) are billed to you.
5. Payment
- Online reservations are paid in full at the time of booking.
- Hourly, charter, and event reservations arranged directly with Summit may be confirmed with a deposit of 20% of the reservation total (minimum $250), with the balance due before service, unless your written quote states otherwise.
- By booking, you authorize Summit to charge your payment method for charges incurred during or after service, including overtime, wait time, tolls, parking, fees, and documented cleaning or damage charges.
- Failed payments, chargebacks, or unpaid balances may result in collection action and refusal of future service.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Airport transfers and point-to-point trips
- Cancelled 24 hours or more before the scheduled pickup: full refund.
- Cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, or a no-show: no refund.
Hourly, charter, and event reservations
- Cancelled 48 hours or more before the scheduled pickup: full refund.
- Cancelled between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled pickup: full refund minus the deposit amount (20% of the reservation total, minimum $250, not to exceed the amount paid).
- Cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, or a no-show: no refund.
Cancellation times are measured from when Summit receives your cancellation by email, by phone, or through our booking system. Special events, multi-vehicle bookings, private aviation assignments, and security-sensitive assignments may carry different cancellation terms when stated in a written quote or agreement.
7. Wait Time and No-Shows
- Airport arrivals. We track your flight when you provide an accurate flight number. You receive up to 60 minutes of complimentary wait time after your flight’s actual landing.
- Private aviation arrivals. Complimentary wait time is 60 minutes from the aircraft’s actual arrival, unless your reservation states otherwise.
- All other pickups. You receive 15 minutes of complimentary wait time after the scheduled pickup time.
- Additional wait time. After the complimentary period, wait time is billed in 15-minute increments at the vehicle’s hourly rate. For hourly reservations, wait time counts toward your reserved hours.
A reservation becomes a no-show when the passenger has not arrived at the pickup location by the end of the complimentary wait period and we cannot reach the client or passenger using the contact information provided. Your chauffeur may then be released, and the full reservation amount will be charged, along with any parking, tolls, or fees incurred.
8. Vehicle Assignment and Substitution
We make every reasonable effort to provide the vehicle class you reserve. Vehicles are subject to availability, maintenance, and safety conditions, and we may substitute a vehicle of equal or higher class when necessary. Substitution of a comparable vehicle is not grounds for a refund.
9. Passenger Conduct
Passengers must behave respectfully, lawfully, and safely. Passengers may not interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle, or abuse, threaten, harass, or distract Summit personnel, and must follow reasonable safety instructions, including wearing seat belts. Summit may end service when continued transportation would create a safety, legal, or operational risk. Service ended for these reasons is not refundable.
10. Alcohol, Smoking, and Prohibited Substances
- Passengers aged 21 and older may consume their own alcohol in the vehicle where permitted by law, at the chauffeur’s discretion. We may ask for identification. Alcohol is not permitted for anyone under 21.
- Smoking, vaping, tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, and other prohibited substances are not allowed in any Summit vehicle.
- Violations may result in immediate end of service, cleaning or damage charges, and refusal of future service.
11. Zero-Tolerance Policy for Chauffeurs
Summit maintains a zero-tolerance policy on the use of drugs or alcohol by any chauffeur while on duty. If you believe your chauffeur is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, please report it immediately by calling 561.612.8835 or emailing info@summittpgroup.com. The chauffeur will be removed from service while we investigate.
12. Children and Child Safety Seats
- Please tell us the number and ages of any children when you book so we can prepare the vehicle.
- Summit provides child safety seats on request, with advance notice and subject to availability. You are also welcome to bring your own.
- Our chauffeurs can assist with installation, but the parent or guardian is responsible for confirming each child is properly secured before the trip begins.
- Passengers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult unless other arrangements are agreed in writing in advance.
13. Service Animals and Pets
Service animals are always welcome, at no additional charge. Other pets require advance approval and must travel in a secure carrier for the entire trip. Cleaning charges apply for pet hair, odors, or damage.
14. Vehicle Damage and Cleaning
Clients are financially responsible for damage, spills, stains, odors, biohazard cleanup, broken components, or missing items caused by passengers or guests. Charges may include professional cleaning, repair or replacement costs, and vehicle downtime. Summit may charge your payment method on file for documented cleaning or damage charges.
15. Luggage and Personal Property
You are responsible for your luggage, valuables, and personal items. Summit is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property except where required by law.
Items found in a Summit vehicle are held for 30 days. Contact us to arrange pickup or return. Shipping or delivery costs are billed to you. Unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of after 30 days.
16. Delays Outside Our Control
Summit is not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, road closures, accidents, law enforcement activity, flight delays, mechanical failure, emergencies, natural disasters, or government action. We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and adjust service when we can.
17. Airport, FBO, Venue, and Property Rules
Airports, FBOs, hotels, venues, gated communities, and private properties may set their own pickup locations, staging rules, access restrictions, and fees. Summit follows those rules. Access, parking, or pickup fees they charge are billed to you.
18. Safety and Security Discretion
Summit may modify, delay, refuse, or end service when our personnel determine that continuing would present a safety, security, or legal risk. For executive, aviation, and security-sensitive assignments, routes and staging may be adjusted in the interest of safety and discretion.
19. Executive Protection Services
Transportation and executive protection are separate services. A transportation reservation does not include executive protection, armed or unarmed security, threat assessment, or protective detail services unless expressly agreed in writing. Executive protection and security services are provided only under a separate written services agreement, which governs those services.
20. Confidentiality
Discretion is central to our service. We protect client identities, travel details, pickup and drop-off locations, and itineraries, and our personnel do not discuss clients or their trips. See our Privacy Policy for details.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Summit is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including missed flights, missed meetings, lost profits, or lost opportunities arising from delays, service interruptions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such a limitation is prohibited by law.
22. Authority of the Booking Party
The person or company making a reservation confirms they are authorized to book on behalf of all passengers and accepts responsibility for payment, passenger conduct, damage, and cancellation charges. When a reservation is made by an assistant, concierge, travel planner, company, or family office, the booking party remains responsible unless otherwise agreed in writing.
23. Electronic Communications
You agree to receive reservation confirmations, updates, invoices, and receipts electronically by email and text message, and agree that electronic records and acknowledgments may be used to confirm reservations, changes, charges, and acceptance of these Terms. Text messaging is described in our Privacy Policy.
24. Right to Refuse Service
Summit may refuse service where it would be unsafe, unlawful, or abusive toward our personnel, or where a request falls outside our capabilities or standards. Summit does not refuse service on the basis of any characteristic protected by law.
25. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be brought in the state courts located in Martin County, Florida.
26. Changes and Severability
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the Terms in effect when you book apply to that reservation. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
